These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through apolloipsum.ie and form the agreement between you and Apollo Ipsum.

Apollo Ipsum is the trading name used for this online store. These Terms do not limit any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

2. Products and product information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, dimensions and availability are accurate. Small variations may occur because products are handmade or photographed under different lighting. A blind-box product is intentionally a mystery item: choosing a box does not guarantee a particular scent, character or design unless the product description expressly says so.

Candle safety instructions are supplied with the product and must be followed. Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from children, pets and flammable items, and stop using it when the remaining wax reaches the safety level shown on the label.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euro unless stated otherwise. Any applicable VAT and delivery charges are shown before you complete checkout. Promotional prices, bundle offers, discount codes and free-shipping offers apply only under the conditions shown for that offer and cannot be combined unless we say otherwise.

Payment is processed through Shopify and the payment method selected at checkout. We may contact you if payment cannot be authorised or if there is a clear pricing or availability error. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will refund any amount paid for the affected product.

4. Placing and accepting an order

After you submit an order, Shopify will send an acknowledgement. This confirms that we received your order but does not by itself mean that the order has been accepted. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch. We may refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, an error has occurred, payment fails, or we reasonably suspect fraud. If we cancel after payment, we will refund you.

5. Delivery

Delivery options, charges and estimated dispatch times are set out in our Shipping Policy and at checkout. We will deliver within the time agreed with you or, if no time is agreed, within 30 days unless a different arrangement applies. Please provide an accurate delivery address. Delays caused by a carrier, public holiday, weather, incorrect address or an event outside our reasonable control may affect estimated delivery times, but do not remove your statutory rights.

6. Your right to cancel an online purchase

For most goods bought online, you may cancel without giving a reason within 14 days after the day you receive the goods. To cancel, email apolloipsum@gmail.com with your order number and a clear statement that you want to cancel. You must then return the goods within 14 days of telling us. Unless the goods are faulty or not as described, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning them.

You may handle goods as reasonably necessary to inspect their nature, characteristics and functioning. You may be responsible for any diminished value caused by handling beyond that necessary inspection. The cancellation right may not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, or to other statutory exceptions. We will tell you if an exception applies before purchase.

When you validly cancel, we will refund the product price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option you selected. We may wait until we receive the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back. Refunds are made using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise.

7. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods

Your statutory rights apply if a product is faulty, unsafe, not as described or does not conform to the contract. If you notify us within 30 days of receiving faulty goods, Irish consumer law may give you the right to terminate the contract and receive a refund, subject to the law. After that period, repair, replacement, price reduction or refund remedies may apply depending on the circumstances. Contact us as soon as possible with your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where useful. We will not ask you to pay return costs for goods that are faulty or not as described.

8. Reviews and customer content

If you submit a review, photograph or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe another person’s rights or contain unlawful, abusive or misleading material. You give Apollo Ipsum a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display that content for operating and promoting the review service. We may moderate, refuse or remove content that breaches these Terms or is not relevant. We will not present a review as genuine customer feedback if we know it is fake or misleading.

9. Intellectual property

All brand names, text, photographs, artwork, designs, product names and website content supplied by Apollo Ipsum are owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied, modified, distributed or used commercially without written permission.

10. Website use

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, or use the website to commit fraud or breach the law. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our customers or our business.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses where you buy as a consumer. We are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control.

12. Complaints and disputes

If you have a concern, please contact us at apolloipsum@gmail.com. We will try to resolve it fairly and promptly. These Terms are governed by Irish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the Irish courts or another court available under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. If a change is legally required or affects an ongoing service, we will provide notice where required.

14. Model cancellation wording

You may use the following wording, or any clear wording of your own: “I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods: [order number and products]. Ordered on [date] and received on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].” Send it to apolloipsum@gmail.com.
